Wellbeing in Education – VeemaPrimary schools can provide a safe and supportive environment for building life skills, wellbeing, resilience and a strong sense of belonging to the school. Fostering healthy relationships with peers, teachers and school staff are essential to children’s positive experience of school and their emotional development.

At Langwith Bassett we pride ourselves on being a happy, caring family. We strive to create an environment and ethos where all children are happy in their work, believe in themselves and have good relationships with each other and their teachers. In order to achieve and fulfil their potential children must feel safe at school, know that school is supporting them and feel that they belong.

There are some occasions in life where individuals may need additional care and support due to unexpected events and or experiences. Times of difficulty affect everyone and children are no different. At Langwith Bassett we have a wealth of experience to support young people and their families whatever may come their way. Some pupils may be offered 1:1 support through our positive play programme led by Mrs Harrison and others may benefit from our Nurture Group provision "The Badgers" with Mrs Lyons and Mrs Carrington. We also access a variety of wider external services on a needs-led basis, as and when appropriate Please contact the academy for more information on these if you feel that your child may need additional emotional support.
